Plutocracy
They got so fat and they got so smug
That they thought you’d never see
That you’d just sit back and let them
Build their global tyranny
Well, they own it all ‘cause they stole it all
And now they’ve upped the pace
They’re looting and they’re murdering
And laughing in your face
Dare you break the silence
Speak out loud and clear?
Stand up to the violence
Refuse to live in fear!
They sneer at you and lecture you
And ban your point of view
You’re not allowed to criticise
A single thing they do
They love to lord it over you
They swagger and they strut
They’re high and mighty lowlife
So content to be corrupt
Dare you break the silence
Speak out loud and clear?
Stand up to the violence
Refuse to live in fear!
The golden calf wields an iron fist
To punish and deter
And quickly turns to terror
If the natives start to stir
But its flags are false, like its news of course
And when its stories fall apart
Make no mistake and drive a stake
Right through its evil heart
Dare you break the silence
Speak out loud and clear?
Stand up to the violence
Refuse to live in fear!
Act with audacity, speak with veracity
Sweep all the lying away!
Expose the plutocracy, all the hypocrisy
We’ll have our freedom one day!

As ever, the lyrics are tippity-top.
Love it Paul, this one is your best yet.
I'm a reader not a watcher, and the stanzas in this poem flow like silk from verse to verse.
The balance is better and, as to be expected with your writing, the message is clear and cuttingly true :-)
